This week we recorded an Audiobook on “The Gruffalo”, this task was fairly easy due to having good groups and structured ideas. The easiest part of this project was probably to collect the sound effects due to them being very standard and neutral such as footsteps in a forest. The hardest part of this production was the editing, when we recorded the dialogue audio we recorded it actor by actor so it was not in order, we had to order the files separately what took the best part of about two hours let alone we hadn’t even added sound effects or anything. After many failed edits and save files I was able to complete the edit. I was not very good at script writing, I didn’t understand the format of the script, I didn’t know where to add quote phrases, or sound effects. Overall the task was quite stressful and time consuming, but the edit wasn’t too bad in the end. Some sound effects we used were difficult, like getting the sounds of the woods.
